MISS PURDY'S 2001/2002

Breyanna Burlesque was born on June 15, 2000 in a hoochy bordello (otherwise known as Teasers Burlesque Palace) in Winnipeg, the adopted daughter of Electra Storm and Carlos and Liz Las Vegas (a truly alternative family) and twin sister of Vida Lamour (who later became Ms Happenings). We can only guess that her 6'3" to 6'6" - depending on footwear - height came from her constant striving for the stars.

After a stint on the missing persons list, Ms. Purdy's Women's Club found Breyanna upon seeing her picture on the back of a milk carton and elected her Miss Purdy's 2001/2002 on May 26, 2001. Breyanna is the first female impersonator ever to hold a title at North American's oldest continuously-operating women's bar. During her time as Miss Purdy's, Breyanna became the official spokesmodel for Faces Cosmetics in Winnipeg and quadrupled the sales of cranberry&7up in local community bars. Breyanna enjoys spending time with her immaculately conceived daughter Tyra Boinks-Burlesque (born July, 2001) when not busy pouring water on herself while dancing on the bar or shreiking "ooooooh child" at the top of her lungs. Breyanna Burlesque has helped to change the face of her community, winning over rabidly loyal fans and friends wherever she goes. She may be sketchy, but she is also the epitome of professionalism, determination, respect and fun.

Just a few of Breyanna accomplishments during her reign: - Helped Ms. Purdy's to win Best Non-Profit Float with Flinestone's Theme at Winnipeg Pride 2001 - Won Best In-Town Walk at Coronation II: Heaven; An Almighty Party at the Pearly Gates, 2001 - Featured in a showcase on Global National (the commercial was even on during Grammies!) - Performed, as the only Queen in the whole lot, at the launch of Kingdom International Drag King Magazine (presented by PrideVision TV) - Hosted several events across the city (despite questionable karaoke skills), including Homo Hop 8 at the University of Winnipeg - Cast roll for the movie "The Many Trials of One Jane Doe"
